Gold prices in Pakistan moved up sharply during the day on Monday 26 October 2026. The Karachi Sarafa Bazaar board (All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association) now shows 24K gold at Rs 424,000 per tola, up Rs 2,400 (+0.57%) from yesterday's Rs 421,600. That ends a six-day losing streak in which gold had fallen about Rs 18,600 per tola. This is an evening update to this morning's rates post, which gave a range of Rs 416,352–421,700 per tola — the board has since moved above that range, so the morning figures are now out of date.
Sarafa, bank and dealer rates differ, so this update gives a sourced range rather than a single figure. Across the sources below, 24K gold is Rs 419,200–424,000 per tola this evening, and 22K gold is Rs 384,267–388,700 per tola. Spot-derived trackers are lower, around Rs 414,500 per tola, because they exclude the local sarafa premium of roughly Rs 2,500 per tola.

International gold recovered some ground on Monday. The LBMA spot price is about $4,018 per troy ounce, and PKRevenue reports $4,009 per ounce, up $14 on the day. Softer oil prices and lower US Treasury yields took some strength out of the dollar, which helps gold. Even so, traders are cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting on 27–28 October, and the bigger picture is still a downtrend: gold is about 5–6% lower than a month ago, with the 30-day high at Rs 445,236–452,200 per tola in late September.
The US dollar is steady. The State Bank of Pakistan interbank rate is Rs 276.75 buying / Rs 277.25 selling, unchanged from this morning, with the mid-market reference at about Rs 276.82–276.94 (Finnhub quotes 276.863; GoldRatesDaily 276.94; searchable.pk 276.81). The open-market (cash) dollar is about Rs 277.55 buying / Rs 280.05 selling. Over the past week the dollar has eased slightly, and it is about 0.1% lower than a month ago.
Check the live rate with your own sarafa dealer before buying, because rates move during the day and differ between cities and dealers. Ask the jeweller to show the purity hallmark on the item, have the gold weighed on a certified scale, and remember that making charges are charged on top of the per-tola rate. For dollars, compare the interbank rate with the open-market cash rate — the gap is the cost of buying cash.
